Abstract Submission
“The Scientific Team is pleased to invite authors to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 6th EFPSA Conference. Please find below all the necessary details, along with the link to the submission portal.
Please note that abstract submission is only possible for participants who are registered through the Regular Call. This requirement applies regardless of whether the submitted abstract is accepted or not.
Guide to Filling in the Oxford Abstracts Submission Form
- Consent
- Tick the Consent box – this confirms you have read and agree to the Abstract Submission Guidelines.
- Presentation
- Select your preferred type of presentation (Oral presentation or Poster) from the drop-down menu.
- Type of submission
- Choose whether your submission is Original research, Literature review or a Case study.
- Original research – empirical work presenting novel findings derived from data that the authors have collected and systematically analyzed.
- Literature review – a comprehensive synthesis and critical evaluation of existing scholarly research addressing a defined topic.
- Case study – an in-depth examination and analysis of one or more specific cases (e.g., an individual, a clinical case, an organization, or a distinctive event), highlighting their relevance and implications within the broader field.
- Title
- Enter the full title of your submission (max 20 words).
- Avoid abbreviations and spelling errors. This will be printed in the final programme.
- Abstract
- Enter your abstract (max 250 words).
- Use a structured format:
- Introduction/Background – briefly introduce the topic and aim of the study.
- Methods – outline study design, participants, tools, and procedure.
- Results – report the main findings (or preliminary results if the study is ongoing).
- Conclusion – summarise key implications and significance.
- Authors and affiliations
- Add all authors in the exact order you want them to appear in the programme:
- First Name, Last Name
- Institution, City, Country
- Tick Presenting for the author who will deliver the presentation.
- If an author has more than one affiliation, click + Add another affiliation.
- If there are multiple authors, click + Add another author to add them all.
- Permission to publish
- Tick the box to give permission for your abstract to be published electronically and in the printed programme (required for acceptance).
- Author approval
- Tick the box confirming that all authors have approved the submission.
- Review and submit
- Carefully check the title, abstract text, author names, and affiliations.
- Click Submit
Call for Abstracts – Timeline & Evaluation Criteria
Submission period:
- Opening of submissions: 18 August
- Closing of submissions: 25 September, 23:59 (CEST)
Review and results:
- Review process: late September – October
- Notification of results: end of October
GUIDELINES FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS
- The person submitting the abstract should be the author presenting the study (presenting author). All communication will be done with the presenting author.
- Each presenter may submit and present only one study, and must be one of the authors of the research.
- Only students (undergraduate, graduate, and PhD candidates) are eligible to present.
Presentation Guidelines
- Oral presentations should not exceed 10 minutes and discussions should not take longer than 5 minutes.
- The Session Moderator or a member of the scientific sessions organising committee has the right to interrupt any presentation or discussion after a lapse of time given.
- Presenters will be expected to discuss the research and answer questions from jury members and audience.
- All the presentations will be judged by the Jury.
- All Jury’s decisions are final and cannot be reversed.
- The five highest-ranked presentations from the session will be presented once more during the plenary session, where presenters will compete for the best presentation award. The winner will be announced during the Closing Ceremony.
Poster Guidelines
- Participation in the poster session can be done only in-person.
- Posters must be prepared in A0 portrait format.
- Presenters must be available to discuss their posters during the session.”
